Russia and Ukraine are still at war, which has been going on for 1,030 days and is having a huge impact on millions of lives. The war is marked by constant attacks, hard negotiations, and more and more deaths. The events of Friday, December 20, 2024, show a picture of a war that is far from over and is becoming more dangerous for everyone around the world.

FIGHTING AND ITS EFFECTS ON CIVILIANS

1.Strikes on Kyiv Over and Over
Russia fired missiles at Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, again, causing a lot of damage to the city. Sergiy Popko, who is in charge of Kyiv’s military administration, said that at least one person was killed and two others were taken to the hospital. Debris from the attack was spread out in four different places, which shows that civilian lives are always in danger. Mayor Vitali Klitschko spoke out against the attack, calling it “another sad chapter” in Russia’s ongoing effort to terrorize people in cities. It’s not just war crimes; these strikes are also meant to break the spirit of the Ukrainian people.

2. Damage in the Kharkiv region
