On his evening statement, Zelenskyy claims that Russian and North Korean forces suffered severe fatalities on southern Russian territory. North Korean soldiers were also involved. It was claimed on Saturday by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, that considerable casualties had been sustained by the Russian and North Korean military as a result of the battle that took place in southern Russia. “Russian army lost up to a battalion of North Korean infantry soldiers and Russian paratroops in battles yesterday and today near just one village, Makhnovka, in Kursk region,” Zelenskyy explained further. “This is crucial.” He provided almost no specifics at all. In addition, Zelenskyy warned that “fierce battles” were taking place over the whole 1,000-kilometer (620-mile) frontier, saying that the most difficult situation was taking place close to the city of Pokrovsk.
