Russian Missile Attack on Private Medical Center in Zaporizhzhia

The Russia-Ukraine war has been going on for 1,021 days and is still having terrible effects on civilians, military activities, and relations between countries. These are the most important changes that happened on December 11, 2024.

A rise in military action in Ukraine
Ukraine’s National Police say that a Russian missile attack on a private medical center in Zaporizhzhia killed four people and hurt 19 others. The attack was terrible for the local community, and relief teams are still working hard to find survivors among the wreckage.

A kamikaze drone seriously damaged one of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) vehicles, which made things even more tense in Zaporizhzhia. The vehicle, which was carrying people who were watching the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), almost caused a bigger disaster, but no one was hurt. Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General, spoke out against the attack and said it was “unacceptable” because it put nuclear safety at risk during the war.

Diplomatic Moves and Changes in Politics
Russia sent Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy head of its Security Council, to Beijing for two days to talk with Chinese leaders about strategic partnerships. This was done to strengthen Russia’s alliances.

At the same time, the US gave Ukraine a $20 billion credit as part of a $50 billion package of aid from the G7. This money…
