Thirteen days. Perhaps 14. That was all it took for the rebels, who had help from other countries, to get Bashar al-Assad, the ruler of Syria who is backed by Russia and Iran, out of the country.
A lot of different things came together to make this unlikely event happen. The world has made a huge progress toward peace and security.
Let’s look at this one part at a time.
Iran is disliked by everyone in the Middle East. Not those Arabs. Not the people of Jordan. Dubai is not the case. Not at all the Israelis. The Iranian regime has been confined within its borders for years thanks to American strategy. For some insane reason, the Republican government led by George Bush removed Saddam Hussein from power, leaving Iraq as an unruly, divided mess. Because of the uncertainty, Iran had to change its plans because soon there was a way to get to the Mediterranean Sea.
Iran built several road routes through Syria that lead to the Mediterranean Sea. It took them more than ten years to complete. Every day, Iranian weapons came into the area through these paths and were sent to Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza. Around Israel were countries that were unstable because of Iran.
